For example, when you open up the data usage tool on your android to find out the exact amount of data that you have consumed on a particular day, you will notice that by default, the amount of data consumed is presented in data cycle range of period and not for a particular day.

You will also notice the data usage graph there, with adjustable limits handles, but some of you might not know yet how to read the graph and use it to actually monitor your phone’s data consumption rate on daily basis.

In today’s tutorial, we are going to be explaining the data usage graph on your android and how you can easily use it to monitor the day to day amount of data your phone consumes and also we will explain how to use other parameters on it.

Without further ado, let’s go straight to the business of the day on how to monitor the daily amount of data your phone consumes by applying the inbuilt data utility tool.

·     To accesses data usage utility tool on your android, head straight to Settings>>All>DataUsage

·     If your phone is dual SIM, you will see each of the mobile networks; now choose the active data network which you want to monitor the daily amount of data consumed.

·     There you will see the data usage graph and also the periodic range of data usage cycle; you will also see set mobile data limit.

Taking close look at the graph, you will notice adjustable handles, both on the vertical and horizontal axes of the graph.

The horizontal axis gives the date range of data used while the vertical axis shows the amount of data.

Now, it is those two adjustable handle heads on the horizontal axis that you will use to set a particular day or date range that you want to monitor or know the amount of data consumed.

All you need to do is just to drag the handles left or right to any suitable date or range of date that you want to monitor the amount of data you have consumed and watch the changes displayed immediately below the graph.

Then for other parameters, like the handle on the vertical axis of the graph with the warning tag, you can adjust it and use it to set any amount of data size limit to tell your phone to signal you when you have used up to the data set warning limit.

Finally, you can also set Mobile Data Limit by ticking the checkbox for that and it will bring up another handle head on the right vertical axis of the graph that you can also adjust to set data usage limit that will signal the phone to automatically disconnect mobile data when you have used data amount up to the set limit.
