MoneyGram partners Access Bank for outbound transfer services

It is no longer news that ever since MoneyGram and Western Union Money Transfer came into the country about 15years ago, that the duo only offers inbound transfer services from other countries to Nigeria.

But since we believe in change and that change remains the only constant thing, I can tell you that things are changing for the better.

About a month ago, Western Union partnered with First Bank of Nigeria to start offering outbound transfer services.

And just yesterday, MoneyGram followed suit and also went ahead to partner this time around with Access Bank to also start offering outbound transfer services, which was tagged “Naija Send”.

With this welcome development, those that will want to send money to their friends and loved one overseas will need not to worry much again.

According to the Regional Manager, MoneyGram Anglophone West Africa, Mrs. Kemi Ogunsaya she said that charges for the services are quite competitive, and that the documentations you need to carry out the send transactions are the same with those one’s you have been using to receive.

She also added that there will be no excess charges and that charges are quite affordable.

From our own part here, we want to say kudos to MoneyGram and Western Union for this partnerships and unprecedented services here in the country.

We also want to believe that in no time too, PayPal will follow suit to start allowing Nigerians to receive money with their PayPal accounts.
