The famous sport company ‘adidas’ announces their own smartwatch, mainly for runners

The question that I know that will be going on in the minds of many is if we are really in smartwatch era. 

And if really anyone is asked to mention the next company that he/she thinks will be announcing their own smart watch, I doubt if any will mention adidas. 

Years back, the word smart-watch sounds more like a mirage and I bet you that many did not reason much towards that direction, though one can still argue or say that some big brains reasoned and that was why we are now seeing the boom today for companies that have delved into smart-watch manufacturing.

Unlike our conventional watches that we use mostly to check time and dates, the smart-watch present era that we are witnessing has come to revolutionize our so called conventional time and date watches by giving it numerous and amazing features and functionalities. 

Just the way our conventional phones are, which we mostly use to make/receive call and send out short messages, but since have been revolutionized into what we now mostly know as smartphones that have in turn enhanced our way of leaving even to the extent of making the world now seem as a little global village whereby we can now have and control the world in our palms by taps of buttons, so are the smartwatches now making things less difficult for the wearer.

Rumours of smartwatches have been filtering the air earlier this year by two great smartphone companies, Samsung and Apple. 

Approximately a month ago, Samsung became the first to hit numerous markets with their smart-watch popularly known as Samsung galaxy gear. 

Just recently, Sony the Japanese giant company also rolled out their own smartwatches. 

Though Apple are yet to release any smartwatch into the market, but there have been strong indication that sooner than later i-watches will be made available in the market.

The surprise of the day that we are waking up into is to hear that the famous sport company ‘adidas’ is not left out amongst the companies working towards smart-watch production, and have even gone to announce their own very smart-watch mainly for runners set for this year’s November launch date. 

I mention the word ‘surprise’ here, because when we mention things like smart-watch here, there are certain companies that we always look up for and definitely not adidas, but this time around adidas is coming up to prove us wrong and letting us know that they too are interested in smartwatch in some unique ways.

So what are we expecting from the adidas smart-watch to do for runners?

Having termed it as smartest running watch, and since athletes that the watch will be mostly meant for are always concerned with their performance in the field event, the adidas smart-watch is built to perform some form of coaching and training based on the athlete heart rate. 

The runner will be able to hear audio coach through headphone. 

The watch will also be capable of telling the runner how far he/she went and also how fast they are. 

For fun functionality, they can also listen to music with it while they perform their duties.

As I have already mentioned, the adidas smart-watch is slated for 1st November date with a pricing that is said to be around $399 for the device.

I think with the adidas smart-watch put on by any athlete, then Usain Bolt should be trouble by now ‘joke’
